Their deep pink heart-shaped fruits have a sweet, rich, complex flavor and are very meaty while still being juicy. Production is excellent and the tomatoes are simply beautiful, but it is the intense tomato flavor that really makes this one special. These Oxheart tomatoes vary between 12 to 14 ozs Companion plants: Basil, Parsley, Sunflower, Carrot, Asparagus, Thyme, Beans, Marigold, Alliums, Peppers, Nasturtium, Celery, Cucumber. Far from: Brassicas, Dill, Corn, Beet, Fennel. Planting tip: Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before planting date. Reduce water and nitrogen intake when hardening off. Staking required for indeterminate type. Harvesting tip: For best taste harvest when the tomato is fully ripe and has expressed all its full color. One can also harvest when the tomato is green and has expressed its first blush; in this case, let tomato ripen off-vine at a temperature above 21°C. Storage tip: Store at 12-21°C with a relative humidity of 95%. Tomato may damage at a temperature of 10°C.
