One of Raymond Evison's all time best-selling clematis, with dramatic fully double flowers. The individual flowers will last for up to 4 weeks. As the outer sepals drop away, the central pompom effect appears.
Found by Josephine Hill as an unnamed clematis and launched by Raymond Evison at the 1998 Chelsea Flower Show.
A great plant for growing through other wall-trained or free-standing shrubs. Also ideal for growing in a container on the deck garden, patio or outdoor dining area. Very long flowering and, during a trial in Portland Oregon, it flowered all summer even at high temperatures.
