A traditional garden favorite. Intense climbing is done by Scarlet Runner on poles, fences, and trellises. Scarlet Runner is cultivated for its flavor and abundant yields, as well as for the ornamental value of its vivid crimson blossoms. 10-12″ pods. Resistant to Bean Common Mosaic Virus and Anthracnose.

Far from: Alliums, Beet.
Planting tip: Soak in warm water up to 8H to improve germination. Seeds will die if soaked longer. Direct seed after last frost. To continuously harvest, plant in 3-week intervals.
Harvesting tip: Wait until pods and enclosed seeds have reached full maturity. For dry beans, allow plenty of space for airflow so they can dry later in the season.
Storage tip: It’s best to only freeze dry beans.
