Love Lies Bleeding Amaranth | id:413 | Amaranthus caudatus | Ecologically grown | Annual | Open Pollinated | Heirloom
Also known as Tassle Flower. Love Lies Bleeding Amaranth is often an ornamental Victorian-era flower. Pearl-like pendants in the form of a tail when the flower is blooming. The plant can reach about 3-4 feet.
Companion plants: Corn, Marigold, Potato, Onion, Tomato, Eggplant, Pepper, Catnip. 
Far from: Crocus.
Planting tip:   Sow 4-6 weeks before the frost. Harden off °T as low as 15°C is tolerable. Ready to transplant outside after the last frost.
Harvesting tip: Leaves are edible and seeds are very nutritious can be used like any other grain. Harvest when flowers are fully open.
