Russian Sage forms a bushy upright clump of fragrant grey-green leaves, bearing copious spikes of lavender-blue flowers from mid-summer on. This is a compact selection, better suited to the smaller garden or for the front of the border than the taller forms.
Excellent for hot, sunny sites. Drought tolerant, once established. Prune in spring to no lower than 6 inches.
