Mild Japanese pepper. Blunt-ended, slim, 2″-3″ pepper. Unique Japanese baby sized mostly sweet pepper produces small glossy fruits that should be picked green and lightly stir fried as used in tempura Japanese cuisine. Occasionally a pepper will have some mild heat. .
Companion plants: Alliums, Basil, Tomato, Spinach, Oregano, Marjoram, Nasturtium, Marigold.
Far from: Beans, Brassicas, Fennel.
Planting tip: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before planting date. For best results harden off at 18-19°C
Harvesting tip: Ready to harvest as soon as they’ve achieved their final colour. Harvest first fruit promptly to stimulate production.
